Newest Member of the Family

Tonight while the boys were just getting ready for a movie we heard a knock at the door. Ollie and Jed rushed to the door to see who was there.

They found a big box waiting for them and were eager to open it...

Could it really be? Santa sent our very own Elf on the Shelf!

It's a good thing he didn't have his magic yet because the boys were all over him, showering him with hugs and kisses!

Dadee had the honor of reading the book that our little elf brought with him...

Jed couldn't help but take a peek to make sure he was really here!

Ollie took more than a peek, he couldn't resist giving his new elf a good cuddle...

He gave him one last hug before we put him on the shelf and gave him his name so he could gain his magic. After much talk, Ollie decided his name should be Jingle Bells! Momee helped him put it in his book to make it official...

And then we all snuggled up to watch our Elf on the Shelf movie...except Jed, he had to be right up close.

Welcome to the family Jingle Bells, can't wait to get to know you!!!

Toddler Surprises

This morning while I was getting ready for the day Jed came running into my room to greet me. When I scooped him up I noticed that there were wet footprints on the floor. I examined his footsies and they were soaked with chocolate milk which was now on my cream colored shirt! I then followed a trail of chocolate footprints through the house all the way to the living room where Jed showed me the surprise he had cooked up for me...

I can't blame it all on him, Ollie must have helped himself to the pantry the night before and left them there for Jed to finish off in the morning. Oh the joys of two toddlers!

First Christmas Movie of the Season

Not quite time for Christmas yet, but since for the first time in history most of my Christmas shopping is nearly done, I was a tad excited to start welcoming the Christmas season in. (That is not an exaggeration- before the boys Matt and I would go shopping together on Christmas Eve to do our Christmas shopping. Might sound boring but it was actually pretty fun to do our shopping together. It usually consisted of hours at Nordstrom Rack, where I got to dress Matt up and then try on a few things myself. Followed by shopping for snowboard gear.) Last year we waited too long and our last minute trip to Costco for toys for the boys came up a bit short so once I actually started Christmas shopping in November! Since I had a feeling Santa might send us an Elf on the Shelf after Thanksgiving, tonight we got ourselves prepped for the start of the season and all the excitement to come by watching the Elf on the Shelf movie!

With Ollie and Jed getting a little older I've got to admit that I'm super excited to experience all of the magic of Christmas with them!
