22 Weeks Old

Needless to say life has been busy! Thus the reason for the long delay between posts. The camera is still shooting away, it's just getting the pictures posted that takes some time. But hopefully with a little effort I will get caught up! Ollie continues to grow and I continue to wonder how it is that he is getting big so fast. Here are his 22 week old pictures:

While it may appear that he is calm and cooperative in these pictures, I thought it would be fun to show you what goes on behind the scene- taking pictures was a lot easier when he was less active! As soon as I sit him down next to his teddy bear now he thinks it is time to show off and play, so kicking around and rolling around, grabbing teddy and of course smiling are all part of the big event. In the end I have nearly 100 pictures of each photo shoot and I have the task of sorting through to see which ones are actually clear (when he kicks around a moves so much I end up with blurry pictures), and then which ones actually caught his expression (lots of pics with his eyes closed or the lens went off a second two late and his expression had already changed or he had looked away) and then try my best to pick the ones that show off his little personality as well as how he is measuring up next to his teddy. In the end just having one that is clear often wins out but it has become a fun ritual.

His latest accomplishment- he rolls from his back to his belly. I'm not sure that I'm ready for it, mainly because he doesn't know how to get back from his belly to his back but he has decided that this is now his favorite thing to do, and when he gets tired of being on his belly he protests until I help him get back over to his back. He is a lot stronger now though and keeping his head up when he is on his tummy isn't as hard as it used to be for him so he doesn't mind it as much when he is on his tummy. I think eventually he just gets tired of holding his head up so hopefully soon he will learn to roll back the other way. I neve know what to expect when I go into check on him in his crib now. Not only does he roll he kicks the side of the crib and moves himself all around so he is never in the same place I left him. Tuesday was the first time he discovered he could roll over byhimself, here is a clip of him on Wednesday rolling around in his crib.

Bottom Teeth

It's hard to get Ollie to show you his new teeth, but today when he was laying on my bed playing around with me I realized I was at the perfect angle to see the pearly whites. I grabbed my camera and he laughed for me a few more times so I could caputure a pic of his first little teeth forever!

Doing Laundry

When Ollie was first born I picked up a basket to be a prop for pictures I took of him his first few weeks of life. While we were at Barb's house we didn't have much of our baby gear around and he was still so small that it also ended up being a convenient little place for him to rest while we were eating. Here are a few shots of him in his basket at only 1 week old:

After we got home from Utah I found a new use for the basket- it holds all his dirty laundry. Today when it was time to do his laundry I went in to take the clothes he was wearing off him so they could be included in the wash and then I decided to put him back in his basket as well just to see how much he has grown. Matt and I got good laughs over it as it is really hard to believe how big he is now. He didn't mind being with all his dirty laundry either he just kicked around and played while we giggled over his big belly, his legs dangling over the sides, and his head hitting the top and wondered how it was he ever fit in that basket!

21 Weeks Old

Ollie will hillarious in the photo shoot today. He could hardly sit still, he wanted to play with his feet, play with the bear, he kicked back, he fell, over and he rolled over and gave us big smiles. Even though I didn't get a good picture of him in his little outfit, I can't help but share some of the other fun shots he came up with today!

19 Weeks Old

So sad, but Teddy didn't make it to Hawaii with us so there are no 18 week old pictures with him. But here is the happy little guy at 19 weeks old:

And just because I thought this was a cute one I'm throwing in a little bonus from his photo shoot:

His bowel movements haven't quite gotten back to normal yet, so after his photo shoot he decided to leave us with one more surprise:

Another blow out, this time it seaped all over the chair. He is starting to think this is really fun! Lol who could be mad at that face?
