First Day of Nursery

It was a happy sad day today. Admittedly the last few months of church have not been the easiest. Ollie is pretty active and trying to get him to be still for 3 hours is an impossible task! Everyone has been asking me when the big day is and they've all been suggesting that I just sneak him into Nursery early, but as hard as it is at times I also couldn't bare the thought of letting him go just yet. So I hung out until the end- it's June 30th, the Sunday after his 18 month birthdate. We got him all ready for his big day and then took some pictures to document our little guy all grown up! We gave him a few squeezes and kisses with Mommee and Daddee and then let him take some all by himself...

Cheeeese!
Kisses!

All during sacrament meeting I held him. Giving him extra loves trying to imagine the next few hours without him. By the end of sacrament meeting I was ready to let him go- all of his wiggles and trying to keep him contained on the row reminded me of what the next few hours are really like- a battle! Haha! I think it is also a little easier knowing in just a few months I'll have another little boy to take care of so it may be the first time letting him go, but he isn't the last :)

He wanted to walk himself to nursery, Matt and I both took him. He was a little hesitant at the door because there was another kid right outside crying, but once he got in and caught sight of the cars and his friends he barely looked back! No cries from this guy!

Since it was a fifth Sunday Matt and I got to spend the next two hours together. It was pretty fun to actually hear a whole lesson and get to snuggle with Matt at church. Although I couldn't help but take a peep in between classes to see how Ollie was doing! (And he was just fine!)

I rushed to get him after church. They said he did great, but he was excited to see me! He showed me his first picture- he still isn't much for coloring but he got a few marks on the page. I took him outside while we waited for Daddee to finish up. (He was busy giving a new brother in the ward a blessing after church, I'm always fascinated with hearing about those experiences, how he gets promptings, etc.) Ollie loved his picture so much he kissed it...

No holding this guy back now, he's all grown up! Mind as well be driving already!

When Daddee was done he was excited to show him his first picture.

They celebrated after church by making cookies together.

After chowing down on cookie dough he washed it down with some milk!

Love my boyz!
