Missing Teddy

Today I was cleaning/organizing Ollie's room and I picked up Teddy and moved him to a new location. Upon seeing Teddy Ollie got all excited and walked over, picked him up and decided it was time to play with him.
I couldn't help but laugh as he carried him around the house, talking and squealing as he played with his old friend.

He stopped to wrestle, and then snuggle with him...

And then he decided to try and play a little basketball with him.

Silly little guy, love it that a stuffed animal can make him smile like that!

Dada Don't Go!

One of little man's favorite new toys is his basketball his Dada got him for Christmas, and there is nothing he likes more than getting his Dada to play with him.

I don't think Matt could be any more excited that he loves that ball, and he loves playing with him. As lucky as we are that Matt gets to work from home and make his own schedule, there is still work to be done so after taking some time to stop and play Matt and Grandpa had to say goodbye and get back to work.

Poor little Ollie forgot all about his ball when his best friend had to leave.

I can still remember hiding behind a bush at my house all teary eyed watching my own Dad drive away when I was little. I remember being so sad to see Dad go to work and how even with all my begging he had left me, and I knew exactly how little man felt.

Good thing one of his other best friends was still around to keep him company!

Birthday Cake #3

Since Marcee didn't get to celebrate Ollie's first birthday with him, tonight she made him his very own bundt cake. We stripped him down so he could be free to make a mess and we hadn't even cut it before he was digging his little pointy finger into the frosting and licking it off!

I think he is already taking after Matt who doesn't just celebrate a birth DAY but rather a birth MONTH! He welcomed the cake and all the attention from his auntee and cousins.

Little Allee was so sweet, she had a present all wrapped up for him that we didn't discover until we had Ollie all packed up to leave. I got to help him open it, and inside we found the sweetest little trophy. She decorated one of her very own trophy's to say "#1 baby" with his name on it. Wish I had a better picture of it, but here is Ollie accepting his award! They always like to say to him "Who's the cutest little baby in the whole wide world?" I will think of them saying every time I see that trophy! Such a lucky guy to be so loved ;)

Happy New Year 2013!

This year we got to spend New Years at Aunt Barb's and Uncle Richards. So hard to believe an entire year has passed! Just one year ago we spent Christmas Eve with them, having brought Ollie home from the hospital just days before. Marcee, Lance and the kids had also come up, what a celebration it was for all of us- having Ollie in our arms was the very best part. Still can't get over it! Missed Marcee, Lance and the kids this year- most New Years have been spent with them, but I was happy for them to be able to get away as a family and we still got the cutest little texts from them tipping up their glasses and celebrating!

We were a bit more toned down this year- no big firework plans or anything. We went out to dinner with the family, and then to see "The Hobbit" (It was our third attempt and this time we finally made it through the entire show- although I did spend the first 45 min out in the hall, Ollie wasn't having the theater so it was a good thing I had already seen the first part of the movie. And funny thing was a nice man from the theater came up and gave me free tickets to come again when we could enjoy the show!) We got home in time to watch for fireworks from the house. Last year we were able to see fireworks going off all across the valley, this year it was snowing so it was a bit foggy and we could only see a limited amount of fireworks. But we still made our own- one good kiss from my Hunnee is all it takes! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

New Years Day after playing at Barb and Richards, having lunch with them and the girls, we said goodbye to Uncle Richard who was heading out on business.

It's always a treat to stay with them, Ollie especially loved Shelby this time, but he will always have a special place in his heart for Aunt Barb who loves to shower him with her love and attention!

After our good-bye's we headed out to visit Holly, Joe and the kids who were back in town from their Christmas vacation with Holly's family in California. The moment we walked in Holly picked up Ollie to say hello and that is when the jealousy began. Allie spent the rest of the night telling Ollie "that's my Mommy" or "that's my Daddy" LOL!

Grandpa and Grandma (aka Dad and Linda) were there also handing out presents. Ollie had already opened his on Christmas so he got to observe all the fun. When Allie wasn't looking Hannah let Ollie play with Allie's new toy Elmo- and he thought that was a lot of fun!

What a little sweety Hannah is!

After presents the kids put on a concert for all of us, they took turns singing as Holly played along. So so sweet!

Grandma and Grandpa tried to contain Ollie through out the concert, but in the end he broke lose and found his way to the piano and Holly's lap for his turn.

That little guy loves the piano and already he loves to sing, can't wait till he's old enough to join in on the concert! We spent the rest of the night hanging out with Holly, Joe and the kids. Matt went sledding with them while Holly and I caught up, we had dinner and ended it with a movie rental. We feel asleep there and didn't make it back to Barb's until the next morning. Then it was time to pack up and say goodbye to Utah for a little while. We'll miss you!!!

Snow Angel

New Years Day at Aunt Barb and Uncle Richards- there was plenty of untouched snow to play in so we got Ollie all bundled up again and ventured out.

The snow was still fresh and powdery, perfect for a little bit of fun!

I love the view from their backyard, and the snow covered trees. But even more than that I loved seeing my two boys all bundled up and ready to play!

Matt laid down to make one big huge snow angel, and got to wrestle Ollie at the same time.

Then we put our little angel inside the big angel just for fun...

We set out to make a snowman, but it was no use, the snow was so fine it wouldn't stick together.

So Matt decided to throw the powdery ball at me instead. Haha!

No snow man today!

Cars

Every boy needs a good car to play with and Aunt Barbara did not disappoint! Not only was it cool looking, it wound up and when you let it go, it raced across the floor and Ollie went racing after it!

He even started making car noises as he played with it- how do they learn this stuff?

And my favorite picture of all, he was too interested in his car to even notice I was there watching!
